Does anyone have any info on engine paint????
I have a fresh engine to go in my GS, but need to give it a good coat of paint. Buick-parts.com advertised Buick red in the can, brushable, but it has been on backorder since FEB!!!! There are 10 backorders for some Buick customers. They don't know when the order will be filled. My engine really needs some RED paint. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks, Jeff :3gears:

Duplicolor spray in the can. I think it is #1608. Do not brush it on. NAPA and the Zone sell it.

You can however brush on cast iron manifold paint with a foam brush and it will show no brush marks.

DH 1608 Duplicolor red like Jim said above works best. But if you like real glossy look on the valve covers, buy the high heat clearcoat in the same brand and temp range. I don't have the code for that though. It should be nearby.

Just bought a case of 6 cans from NAPA $28.00. Also saw it at the Auto Zone $6 a can.

Once the Hirsch red gets hot it is no longer the correct shade. I know JW thinks that too.
