The heat riser on the Wildcat moves, opens and closes sometimes but will squeak if I grab the weight and rotate it back and forth. There is a sticky spot. It was seized solid and using heat and patience got it moving. The spring is there and working. When cold and clamped in the vice the flapper is closed. warm the spring with a heat gun and it opens. Cool it with compressed air and it closes. When clamped onto the manifold with a gasket it gets a bit sticky. Is there a lube that will stand up to the heat?

Nickle anti-seize is usually rated good to 2600 degrees. Permatex, Loctite, etc. Its a little more expensive - available everywhere (ie:amazon)

Want a partially used can? Might need another Briz Pipe! I probably have 5 cans (16 oz) with a brush top. Copper or Nickel; your choice. U-Pay postage! Disassemble and drill the hole .015" bigger. Good for any bolt lube especially exhaust stuff.

Maybe you can return the favor! Probably Loctite. BBBPat

On this car I am going a totally different route than I've traveled in the past and trying to make everything work and look like it did back in the day. If that does not work I will back slide.

Try stirring in some powdered graphite with penetrating oil, or etc.
The graphite flowes with the light oil into the tight areas.
The oil burns away but the graphite stays.

This stuff dies out as quick as anything else. Helps to not try to use it while "working" under a ceiling fan.
