Hi All, Our host hotel will still be the Comfortable Inn in Alma, MI, as it has been for a long time. Room rates last year were $59.00 plus tax, and they should be the same, or close, this year. We will still be having our Hospitality Room on Friday night after qualifying. If you would like to reserve a room, their phone number is 989-463-4400. For those who wish to stay at a different hotel, we have 25 rooms blocked off at the AmericInn in Greenville, MI. The room rate for a double-queen-bed room is $104.90 plus tax per night. Reservations must be made by August 18, 2015. The group name to use is "Pure Stock Drags". Their phone number is 616-754-4500. The AmericInn is the same distance from the track as the Comfortable Inn (24 miles), but it is located southwest of the track. This will make it a good alternative for folks coming from that direction. They do have room for trucks and trailers, but not nearly as much as the Comfortable Inn. Dan
Are you serious? That place will still be in operation next September? Last year they kept saying they were booked, but only 20 of us had rooms. We figured there were only 20 rooms that were rentable, the other 160 rooms were taking on rain water.?
Are these reserved rooms (hotel) just for the "Pure Stock Drags" repeat usual participants ? What if your a Newbee and don't have a car! 1st year guy?
Hey Tom! Dennis, Lyndon, and I are "sacrificing" ourselves and staying at the Comfortable Inn, and giving up all the available rooms at Maxfields and AmericInn to you guys. We also question if the Comfortable will still be open next fall. If not, we may be renting a motorhome and staying at the track! It's too bad that there aren't any decent hotels close to the track (other than Maxfields). But we've put up with it for 20 years now. Scubasteve455, you are welcome to a room at any hotel. Dan
I have never stayed there, but when I have driven past the AmericInn in Greenville, it looked pretty good.
After talking to Lyndon last year. We all booked at the Greenville Ameri inn.. Faithfully stayed at the Comfortable inn since 98.. And the last few years with fighting for rooms and lost reservations, sorry it has run it's course... There is a new parking lot to party in:beer
oh my, like the new parking lot party ideas. Isn't there a Wal-Mart across the street? or close to it? b double e, double r u n, beerrun p good thing I made my reservations at AmericInn months ago. Rooms at Maxfields have been getting harder and harder to get, so time to move on. I'm still on the wait list for Maxfields.
It's just too bad Alma doesn't have a nice hotel as the community deserves better. See everyone at the new hotel for 2015!! Jim
