A friend is looking at a 1968 GS 400 ragtop, 3-speed, no air, no ps, no pb -- guess it was just built for speed back in the day. He's a long-time stepchild nation afficianado and he's trying to figure out how rare it is and how to judge its value. So -- How many 68 GS 400 3-speed ragtops were built? Failing that, how many total 68 GS 400 3-speeds were built? (Note: I bought a copy of the decoding info / production number info off somebody on the board way back, but can't find it at this point.) -- Steve
Thank you for your prompt reply. Much obliged. Now if I can just said friend to ever paint my car.... -- Steve
I had a 68 3 speed convertible for several years, V-Code Charcoal White Top / Interior, 1 of 79. I sold it 3 years ago and it bounced through a few flippers, not sure where it ended up, maybe still in Florida. I came across a few 3 speed hardtops but never found another vert, could it be the same car?
