    Great pics.
I was curious to see how this was done.

Did you replace the trunk pan? That is alot of rust thru in the rear deck filler to not have any trunk issues with rust.

Im glad my car does not need that done!
    Keep up the good work.

the filler panel is the same. the support and underbracing is simmular but NOT the same. WIll work fine though. the difference is probably has more to do with the fact that this is an early car with pointed gage lenses and mine is later. but .. i don't know :Do No: If this were a numbers matching car, and i were restoring, I would have looked harder for a perfectly correct donor. to find this area in decent shape is a major task as it is.

yes, the guy was a strange dude. :puzzled:
the parts car does have a part i could use, the "8 ball" shifter knob, it would look cool on my pickup :bglasses:

your car will be good as new when done :3gears: :TU:
    looks good!!

You're right. Better to have it fixed with something that is maybe not quite "right" by the concours standards than to have the rust continue to spread. It is also putting the parts car to full use, too. I just can't believe that no one is reproducing this panel for our cars, as probably 80% of the ones I see around here are too rotten to use. I will be dealing with the same issue when I get into the paint and body of my car. The underside is fine on mine, but the upper is clearly a combo of rust and filler that goes up under the vinyl. Thanks for sharing the photos, as it benefits anyone interested in the paint and body side of these cars. Rudy E.

No problem. now that my boys are somewhat more self sustaining(18 months). i can get back on this project(car as a whole).

I don't think the differences will be viseable after it is put together anyway... had some decent metal wehere it was most important. Still may need to add some had fabricated pieces.

Yours is zippen right along! I like the frame notch for the meats.... and nice purdy axles. I still need a nice set of axles before i bolt up some slicks. maybe this spring.
