the car i bought has been repainted and there is some over spray on the vinle seats. i have tried clay putty it deas not work . any thoughts would be helpful. o No:
not a wise choice to use thinner thinner will dry out and take the color out . call an interior trim repair company. in illinois we have various companies that actually would go to your house and remove or repair interiors in your drive way. they have other less harsh solvents. I have never had good luck with thinner. i always regreted it. brian
You may want to try reducer instead of thinner. If you use either one, just be quick about it and don't let the solvent 'melt' the vinyl. Don't do it in the sun either. Armour All it soon as your done and you'll be fine. Done it lots of times.
jaredyocum I have found that the best overspray remover comes in the form of fuel used in gas powerd rc cars.My son has a Tmax and it runs off of a blue fuel that is bought at the hobby store and is a blend of nitro and alcohol and it works super of cource we fell on those results by accident . While cleaning our office desk one day my dad picked up the jug that was sitting near the desk and started wiping it on to the veneer desk to and it took the overspray right off so weve been using it ever since! God luck jared
Try Goo Gone . Get it at local Lowes Building Supply in paint departement. Works great. Put small amount on a clean cotton cloth and rub lightly. Wait and repeat process. Also can be used on painted surfaces .
Sikkens brand M600 surface cleaner. Does not dry it out or take out any color. Also works well on paint....even fairly fresh paint. Guy
