On the quick fuel the position is not that far off. I cut the threads off the stud and welded it to a bracket and the new stud location was to the right about 1/4".

TexasT Texas, where are you from

Is the 2nd servo a stock one? If so what are the last three numbers on the casting? There is more to shifting and shift timing than just the governor.

    Check out this article.

I wouldn't spend the money on the kit. I did some budget mods that were much less expensive. but its your money.
My build thread has what I did in it I believe. http://www.ihadav8.com/forum/index.php?topic=3729.0 Let me know if you don't see it. I did some spring swapping in the vb and put in a .500 boost valve, larger rev boost valve and spring and a stiff slide spring to maximize the volume.

The servo is a stock one. The last three numbers on the casting are...692
Thanks for the info, I will look through these and let you know what questions I may have.

I bought a Transgo reprogramming kit ($129.99 shipped). It was the 200-4R-HD2 that included a billet servo. After installing it and taking it for a quick drive to get gas, the shifts are now crisp and distinct. The 1-2 shift may be too firm though as it can chirp the tires with not much gas. I may have to pull the plate and make the 1-2 shift hole smaller. I need to do some more test driving to see where my WOT shift points are with RPM. I am getting closer.

    Thats great to hear!
did you look at the governor weights or take a picture.
trimming them is gonna be your shift points.
a few more on and off's with the pan and you'll be set for good.
if your going to be looking for high shift points 4500+
make sure the spring won't come out. some are riveted in others have a clip.

the color of the gear determines the speedo/ratio. green, red, orange

I took it for a test drive tonight. Shifts are close, but WOT shifts seem soon. Will most likely be doing some grinding on the small gear. The transgo install instructions showed the areas to shave to increase WOT shift points. I also realized the car was running real rich. Accelerating with the primaries only I was at 10.8-11.2 on the AFR. Would like to see that around 13.2. Looks like I will be jetting my primaries down and doing some more tuning. Then it will be time to work out the tranny kinks. I do like the low RPM cruising though.

Keep in mind a boosted engine wants different air fuel ratio compared to NA
