I like the "patina" of dust, rubber on the quarters, and cobwebs from sitting in the garage, oh, and stone chips don't bother me either, its gonna happen when yah drive 'em.

I spent yesterday doing a full-on cleaning of my 2019 TourX. Washed, clay bar treatment, full paint correction, 3-level polish and ceramic coating. It was beautiful until it rained in biblical proportions earlier today. At least it looked good for a while:(

on a slightly different note, Rheem is coming out with a hose nozzle that incorporates an on-demand hot water heater. They’ve been testing it for around a year. I ordered one, and it should be shipped next month. Can’t wait to break it in.

I follow the two-bucket method to avoid paint marring.

How is that gonna work? Ya gotta plug it in or connect to a propane tank?

I just got mine. It uses a 120V plug to a built in GFI circuit in the head unit. The cord is about 15’ long, so there’s room to move around. It has 3 color settings on it; blue, for straight from the tap temp, green, for moderate warmth, and red, for the hottest water it can produce. It won’t give you 3rd degree burns by any measure, but it’s significantly warmer than tap temp. I’ve found that if I don’t open the tap up all the way, and moderate the output to 50-60% water flow, it keeps up fairly well. It did very well on my siding - better than straight tap temp for sure.

Well, here's a different twist on car washing. I'm one of the car washing haters and have a really good car wash center in my neighborhood. I've been taking my family cars there for a few years and know their brushes and washing system is safe for my vehicles. So, I've started taking my GS there for an "outside only" wash. (I stay in the car during the trip through the wash). It comes out super clean including the wheels and tires and the high pressure dryer gets most of the water out of hard to get to areas. On the drive home it gets totally dry.

I'm fortunate that my white car doesn't show water spots. One caution................I keep the GS cold air filter on whenever I do this so that water doesn't go through the hood vents and wash down the distributor. Any water just drains out of the holes in the housing on each side. Certainly not for car washing diehards but it works for me.
