The mayor and I went to a Super Car race at New England Dragway last Sunday.
The Formula ran a bunch of 12.40's which I was really happy about.

And then the planets aligned...

It's just too good not to brag about it.

I'm working on it. The Halloween race date is tough with a 4 year old.
CL ran a 12.78/111 with the 409. He's been going through withdrawals since Stanton. I'm fairly certain he will be there.
As far as backing it up. If I go, the SD will be in the 20's...

Was gonna go too, but had to work around the house......how was the air?

 

The air was between 500' & 800'. The track was decent. We were running with the nostalgia drag cars. It was a really nice event. Ralph did a nice job keeping everything moving. We haven't been to a Super Car race in a couple of years. Everyone was very nice. A good group of people. It was nice to not have to drive 12 hours to run...

 

We missed you guys too. It was too much of a crap shot with the weather forecast to drive the distance. Are you going to the Chicago show?

Understood on the weather. We have talked about going to Chicago as spectators. Nothing set in stone yet.

Very impressive Chuck! Some cars work great right out of the box,and that was one of them. Anytime a 4-speed car runs like that,it is a total credit to the driver,so Kudos! Hard to believe such a mild motor makes so much juice.Those heads were not milled or ported in any way. They were the nicest virgins I could find. Really missed seeing all my friends this year,have not missed a psmcdr since 1997,been going to musclecar races every year since 87. Going to register a car at mcacn tomorrow so I can see some of the people I missed so much in September. All work and no play makes John and Paul dull boys! We did not race at all this year. We had 2 cars ready for pure stocks,but the national weather gave very little hope. Anyways awesome run Chuckie,and your father is kicking ass also,the SD Pontiacs have their work cut out. Gonna be fun in 16!!!,I wont miss again!

 

Yes, all you guys were missed this year, hope to be racing myself next year, tired of spectating.
