Just got my 66 Buick Skylark GS a few months ago, given to me by my father in law. I know nothing about cars, or knew nothing before I started, but no time like the present right?
He ben! Good to see you on here Lots of great support from these guys on v8 buick to guide ya with your restoration
You are never too old or too young to start wrenching on them. If you have seen a 3 year old banging on a car with a wrench, you have seen a 93 year old banging on a car with a wrench...
Yeah, it looks like portions of it have been repainted, but I'm not sure, and my father in law doesn't really know. I am the third owner.
I'm working on a 1966 skylark my dad gave me almost have the 455 in it! I didn't know much at all but a lot of help here!
Welcome Noodles! You came to the right place to get help/advice/parts. Lots of very knowledgeable guys/gals here. Just don't be alfredo to as any questions.
Thanks, It was originally My wife's aunt's vehicle, then she sold it to my father in law years ago, he drove it on occasion but he has lots of toys, mainly his first Gen Celica to work on. He then gave it to his other daughter, who was going to restore it but then moved and couldn't pay to store it anymore, so they asked if we would like it. They knew I had a space in my garage for it. I jumped at the chance.
Just saw this! Always great to see another '66 GS show up! What a great way to acquire a '66 GS convertible. Good luck with the restoration. Take plenty of pictures and post a few when you can. Steve
Nice car. I love the 66 style. I have learned so much from the guys on this site, don't be afraid to ask any questions no mater how dumb you think they are, no one judges on this site, everyone tries to help.
