    They're in!
    New battery
Remote cut off back on too (it's a marine battery cut off. Works by remote on my key fob)

The small red wire is the constant for my stereo so I don't loose presets when the battery is cut off.

When I turned the key I was shocked at how fast it turned over. Sounded modern if you know what I mean. I'm happy.

Good job! Now that I'm looking at it...you may want to "shave" your neg post just a bit. In the close up pic it looks like that end is stretched a bit and also not all the way down to the battery. There is a tool that will do that in a few seconds. Maybe just running a regular post cleaner brush over it will take it down enough. Doing that will make it easier to take the cable on and off. They are so easy to take on + off, I typically disconnect 1 term if I'm not going to use the car for a week or so. Then I don't need to worry about drainage, shorts, or fires. I know you can't because of your radio.

I do have a post cleaner, the twist on type.. Ill give it a few turns and see if it takes the size down a little. I too though it was big but it went on easy enough.

I cleaned the terminal with my twist cleaner and put the teminal back on.
Hopefully thats the last time I disconnect, Im tired of setting up my radio LOL

Thanks for all your assistance fellas!
    I sure do appreciate it

Looks like they lied about the positive having the hooked end at starter connection. I usually take the starter out and attach cable there first Then push starter up in place and bolt it. Shield to block goes on last.

When I called and asked about the starter terminal having the bent tab I think they misunderstood. The terminal is bent like the original but does not have the tab. I don't think they knew I was referring to the tab.

What gauge are the new cables?

I dont see it mentioned on the add or the paperwork I have with them.
But its supposed to be like factory.
The insulation is thicker today vs 44 years ago so its physically larger cable, and thats why they need to drill out the plastic block so it will fit though.
