I have a 72 GS 455 and like to know which Idler Arm is correct straight or curved? Currently it has a straight idler arm but on RockAuto they show both straight and curved for 1972. I like to put on the correct one since the one currently on the was a replacement not the original. My 72 GS455 was built in Flint, invoice date of January 6, 1972.
George, far as I know there is only 1 idler arm number for 1972. The pitman arm I think there was one for manual and a different one for PS. A pic of what you have would be helpful.
I see the ones that are curved. Most are straight. What is on the car now? The note says from 10/9/72. When was your car produced, look on the cowl tag. https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/buick,1972,gs+455,7.5l+455cid+v8,1379785,steering,idler+arm,7328
