After an almost 20 year drought of having nothing relevant to contribute to the Buick community, I pulled the trigger on one of the cleanest cars no one knew about.

Shout out to CJP69 - the ultimate Buick ferret - who just matter of factly mentioned that this car "might" be available and a huge thanks to Dano for selling me a car that wasn't technically "for sale".

Rowing through the gears in the suburbs of Baltimore made me all giddy and also made me realize what I'd been missing all these years. Dan made this transaction amazingly smooth and is a true asset to the Buick brotherhood. He had reservations but took solace in the fact that this rare beast will be going to a good home. For that I'm very, very thankful. I forgot how much I loved that old car smell.

Welcome back! It's amazing how the Buick bug can't really be cured! Damn nice looking car, too. Next time you are rowing thru these parts- give a holler.

A quick Google search reveals that Fritchey Waddell sold Studebakers in 1925 in Woodbury NJ. By as early as 58, they started selling Buicks. There is currently a Barlow Buick in Woodbury. On their website it says they are family owned since 1971. So it looks like the dealership still stands and are still selling Buicks.

    Thanks, Don!

Another defunct dealership that which I'm hoping to find either a license plate frame or trunk emblem from. #hensteeth

Yeah, this was a secret. I gave up on the "numbers car" a while ago. Ron just never replied to any of my messages. What's a guy to do?

Dude...you never know. True story- My 70 came from Selover Buick in Billings, MT. The dealer is still there but changed hands to Underrinner Motors years ago. I called the place one day and got ahold of the used car guy. I thought for sure I was going to hear a dial tone. He put me on hold for minute. He comes back to the phone and says "Yeah, I found one in the back of Bob's drawer. If you want it, just stop by and pick it up". I almost dropped the phone! It was brand new with the screws no less! Bob Gibbs was kind enough to pick it up and mail it to me when he was living in Montana.

Randy Peck had a leather key fob from Selover and gave it to me at one of the GS Nationals. Its hanging on my wall with a set of NOS GM keys on it
