Hey fellas (and ladies). I've got a numbers matching 350 in my 1972 Skylark Custom and I've got a bad carb. It's just run its course and I was wondering what you guys (again, and ladies) thought would be the best repalcement carb. I honestly couldn't tell you if the carb is original, but I do know its a Q-jet. Anything helps! Thanks folks!

Hey BRedd, how is Houston? Should be nice this week, it is here in San Antonio.

The correct quadrajet would be 7042244. The 70 to 74 year Buick 350 quadrajets all look the same and function the same and have same divorced choke. If the correct number is important to you, then that is the one you want. I keep Buick cores in my shop, and may I know I have many Buick 350 cores to build, but not sure if one is the 72 year.

    I hope this makes sense.

I have a sale going on to the end of the year and can build one of my cores for you for $250 plus shipping, or I may could bring it to you depending on timing.

Check out quadrajetpower.com for information on what I do. Much more than just a kit installed.

I would stay with the quadrajet.

    I drove a '73 Olds for 28 years with a quadrajet
    Never had a problem
