I noticed this exact thing on a few websites while looking for shocks for my car. I spent a few weeks attempting to cross reference the Monroe part #'s with bilsteins and was unable to find something exact. The Electra and Riviera share front shock part numbers but the rears are totally different. Hey I just noticed you are here in Sacramento too! What part of town do you live?
oh wow I used to live in Rio Linda when I was little but our house flooded and then burned down in 1986. I live in Citrus heights over by Sunrise mall now.
add my kudos to the mix - I've had them on my ragtop for over a year and definitely an impressive improvement over the KYB's which preceded them. Diligent online shopping will save you major $$
Snucks, I will keep my eyes peeled for a black top white electra, do you ever go to any of the local car shows in our area ,
Hi I live in New Zealand and have a 67 Riviera and want to lower it by 2" and replace shocks with Blistein can anyone give me the part number's so I can try to get them here? The options are by sea witch takes six weeks they won't air freight . http://jamcosuspension.com/products/sfID1/31/sfID2/42 Thanks Matt
http://www.bmrsuspension.com/?page=p...d=43&catid=241 Thats this link they list for the Buick 442, It doesnt look like they have anything for the Riv. I have ordered the Jamco susension catalog. They have no pics of the Bilstiens they offfer for 94 bucks. That seems cheap for Bilstiens
Call this place and ask to speak to the owner regarding Buick parts http://www.autoatlanta.com/ He for sure has the Bilsteins you need for your car.
I took the top and the stainless trim off of the roof so now its all white. I will be installing the new vinyl after I get it painted though. No I haven't been to any car shows. I tried to get into the Midnight mass but was told to leave because they wouldn't allow dogs.....wtf I heard there is a Buick club that meets in North Highlands near McClellan on Saturday mornings but I have never been there.
I installed Bilsteins on my Silverado which prompted me to install them on 65 RiviGS with new H2 spec coils, already have a set ordered for my other GS Riv. I've heard the Koni may be better but I cannot image how.
