Have this saved for like 14 years. NOS dealer tag! I decided to drill the two holes and finally mount it.

I'm trying to figure out the right location and see if it looks straight. And yes, I realize some 17 year old kid at the dealership was slapping these on 15 at a time in between toking on his joint behind the building:D

So what do you guys think? Right spot? Does it look straight?

And yes, that is the correct tag from the original selling dealership

    Jason,
It looks like it's in the correct place. Here is a picture of mine for reference . Dealer Installed March 1970

My Riviera has the holes drilled, but I don’t know the original dealership

Jason, I think location varied by dealer. Here’s another example from the Gulfstream car I once owned.

How painful was first contact with the drill?

With my pain threshold I didn’t even curse, reversing it out was a little rougher LOL

Jason you know I’m a straight shooter brother unless those guys had extra Doobies in the back installing emblems that looks a little too high to me sir But it is definitely passible and looks good otherwise

This f...ing guy.... I knew you were screwing with me when you said it looked good!!!

The problem with mounting it lower was it's so tall, it didnt sit flat. Even where it is, the "L" is kinda raised off the lid.
