Pete a few of us that grew up on farms over on this side of the boarder could give a hand if you need it. If your boy's are falling behind in getting the seed in the ground I would be willing to come over and help out. Larry said he would also.

We know how important these next few weeks are and are willing to help any way we can. Let us know if we can help on any of the weekends coming up.

    That's an excellent thought, Mark.

    Pete:

I don't know anything about farming, but do know how to drive a truck. If I can help, let me know. I've got lots of time after this next week (will be in Fla.)

Pete, please keep us posted on what's going on. Eric, Justin and I are pulling and praying for a positive solution to your condition. I have never farmed and I don't have a commercial truck endorsement but dammit I can weed. Take care Pete.

Thanks guys for all the concerns and offers to help. Where actually in pretty good shape farming wise. My two boys and wife are amazing and I have a lot of support up here from other farmer buddys. Nothing like good friends like them and you folks!
The two days of testing are over and I have a appointment for Tuesday to get the results. Whatever they come up with, I just pray it is repairable!
Tueday morning will be a nerve racking day!

    Pete,
Will be praying for good results as well. We all need sheltering trees, friends in our lives that will lift us up to the King of Kings and that is why I like hanging out with this group.

Well............... Been officially diagnosed with "cardiomyopathy". My heart is working at 30%! I have caught a virus that has attacked my heart. Pretty sure it happened while at the Kentucky Farm Show in Feb. Does not matter if you run 5 miles a day, or if you weigh 500 lbs. You can catch this. How lucky is that!:Do No:
The good news is that I did not have a heart attack as first thought. All the test show my heart is in excellent shape as far as any blockages or valves go. My cholesterol is the lowest he has ever seen in a man. Always was. My blood pressure is a little low as always. These things all combined is likely what stopped it from killing me.
The bad news is the odds of recovery is less than good. Once a heart swells up it is hard to recover. I am on some drugs(yes legal) to try to help it repair itself, but it will take lots of time if it can repair itself.
Buick528...... your uncle got any suggestions??????
Now I'm just pissy at the world today!!!!!!!!:blast: :blast: :spank:

Pete that is the VIRUS I caught five years ago. I thought the doctor was joking when he said to do nothing and I was only allowed up the stairs once a day PERIOD. By the time it truly took hold once a day was all I could handle. I was fortunate and recovered in about 10 months which apparently is very quick. I behaved and truly did nothing but go to work for about 4 hours a day after a month of nothing. That was all I could muster and I sit at a desk. I later had a stroke they thought was caused by it. It turned out to not be the cause. But they were concerned that even though I had fully recovered that the virus can leave tiny pits in the inner heart wall, it did not fortunately. Blood will clot in these and get pumped around. Be aware of this long term issue when you heal.

I IMPLORE you to please do nothing. It is the only way to make this work. It is extremely difficult thing to do. And you will feel like a burden to others but think what a burden it would be if your family and friends no longer had you or you were long term incapacitated.

I caught mine late and my hearts lining was 4 times its normal size. As Pete's sounds like it is well progressed also it is a tough road. The odds when it is caught advanced are tough to take. I will not express them here as it is trying and Pete already knows them I am sure. Best wishes and you have a difficult road ahead but with huge amounts of rest I PRAY that your outcome is as fortunate as mine.

You will be indefinitly in my families prayers.

    Mark
