Mine was done by them in 2005. They just did the suspension.

It did less than 4000 miles from instal to when I bought it, since then it's been in daily driver duties here in Australia and has clocked over 30,000 miles in just over 2 years. Never missed a beat

Good to hear you guys haven't had any problems with leaks. Maybe whoever installed the the kit on my friends cars didn't do such a great job or maybe they don't use them often enough.Things tend to take a crap on you when they aren't used. Then again they don't work on them and you'd puke on how much they spend on cars. Glen who owns a top billet wheel company never pulls up in the same car on Monday nights they are all trick. We were just talking about going to his new garage or should I say building to see what he's got. From my understanding he has over 50 cars. Since he's been hanging with us he's finally starting use some of them. Glad you guys are enjoying your cars.

I just picked up a some boss wheels for mine, 240-45-18 front and 245-45-20 for the rear. I am worried about the underside of my car bottoming out and that is one of the reasons I wanted air ride.

What car do you have Matthew?

Shouldn't bottom out if you raise it sufficiently before driving.

I don't have any before pics on this computer, but here is one of my friend's 67 with the air ride down.

1967 skylark 2 door hardtop. Yeah I want it low when I can but I want it up when I am driving around town. The town I work in has terrible roads. Your friends 1967 is exactly what I am looking for.
    What system did he use?
How high is it when it is up all the way up.
I think my car is around 4 inches above the pavement with the stock suspension.

He bought an all in one kit, and then separately bought a bunch of better parts to replace some of the hoses/fittings, and did all of the work himself. I believe it is stock height when all the way up.

Do they make kits that will put it above stock height if you want. I am new to this game so sorry for all of the questions.

my 69 raked with coil overs. Waiting on a few parts getting it aligned and ride height adjusted. What do you think?Lower in back or keep it old school? IMG_20150606_120632_859.jpg

I think it looks awesome the way it sets. With how the rear wheel opening is made on those years I think you should leave the height right there. Do you have coil overs all the way around?

Yes, complete ridetech level 2 coil over system w/ front and rear muscle bars.

    Here's my 67...

If you have it done, make sure the person doing it knows what they are doing and has done it before.

1st pic is at the gas station at normal drive height. 2nd is laid out at my buddies place. 3rd is all the way up.

Grandpas67 that is what I was looking for. Awesome car! What is the brand of your system? What is your tire size?

I went with a company that I will never recommend to anyone. I won't say the name because I still have to get parts for them when electronics fail on my system, but you can google Mesa AZ air bags to see who I'm talking about.

I have a full digital system with pressure and height sensors at all 4 corners. I have a programmable control unit that holds up to 5 presets for different heights. As I drive the car, it automatically adjusts the height of the car based on the selected preset. It adjusts for weight and height differences. Kind of neat. I also have a blue tooth controller that I can use via my smartphone (completely not necessary).

I have heard good things about accuair and ridetech. Looking back, I kind of wish I would have gone with either of those 2 when I started this adventure.

In the future, I may change out my entire air management system to something from either of the 2 noted above.

As far as tires go, I have 215/50R17's. They are on a 17x7 wheel. I had to have my rear end narrowed an inch on each side in order to keep the skirts and the aftermarket wheels. So if you're planning on running skirts, beware of possible fitment issues.

Kind of looks like the same company that I went through. Unless Mesa AZ is the capitol of all air suspensions.

This kit has no air management system on it. That's a big thing. If you go digital controls, you're looking at $1000+ on that. If you go analog controls, then it will be significantly less. As you pointed out, no shock relocation kit, that will need sourced. what else...? You'll probably want an air dryer (between the compressor and tank). You'll need misc odds and ends (clamps for the lines, grommets for the lines passing through the body, electrical wiring and connections). You'll need a welder for the front shock relocation. I'm probably missing other things too...the list could go on and on.

I run shockwaves and love it. I have corvette brakes , kore3 hubs and use the ridetech spindles, front lower control arms and uppers. I use a DSE splined sway bar and a 1" rear bar also. rides great but handles even better. drives like a caddy on the highway. You get what you pay. Downfall is I got ride of the level sensors so I do check to make sure on height in the front so I don't hit. I run about 100 psi in the front and 60 psi in the rear. painted buick.jpg this is before it was done

    Also consider JRI J ride
Its an active system like Ridetechs air ride
    but it uses hydraulic fluid

Also if you chose ride tech and wanted

You can go with air brake setup since youll already have the nice air pod tank
