Is Fantom Works really "Reality"?

Speaking of "reality shows", you'd be amazed at some of the stuff I hear when telling people I drive big rigs for a living. Plenty of people think "Ice Road Truckers" is typical of what I do 9 months of the year. :D I sometimes tell them in summer, my truck swims across those lakes.

Parts of that show are filmed in and around my hometown. The ice roads used are genuine, but the drama is seldom real. From what I've learned, there is a universal code of never leaving a broken down or stuck driver stranded out there.

Hearing the drivers worry about cracking lake ice drives me nuts. I'd rather hear that versus silence. Quiet ice can be deadly ice, especially if it's become soft. The ice crossings are strictly regulated as to maximum weight allowed, as well as speed.

I no longer watch any automobile reality shows.

Anyone watch Full Custom Garage on Mav TV? The guy just builds some cool stuff, usually by himself (well there is his dog Hell Hound!) No drama or BS. He's a metal fabricator for the most part.

Roadkill is my favorite. Those guys do what my friends and I did 20 years ago.

That show was absolutely unbearable. I watched the first episode, and 5 minutes in realized I was literally forcing myself to watch it. I decided to forge head and watch it till then so I could give it a fair shake. Once I was done, I realized that I wasted precious time in my life that I'll never get back. Whoever ok'd that show to be produced should be kicked in the face with a golf shoe.

Dave was a guest at a local car show and came to the reception after set up. I talked him into taking a shot of Jack Daniels with me. He is a really good guy. He came over to my friends booth that owns a resto shop and asked to take pics of a custom Studebaker truck with a modern 5.7 Hemi they built. He told them he really liked there work. He took pics with them around the truck.

Have any of you seen that ol' Richard Rawlings from GMG has another show coming out soon and he's saving people's businesses? Yeah, great. Haha
