Is it difficult or tricky to change the front disc brake bracket on a 70 GS? I need to change to rotor anyway as the one on the car is heavily scored on the back side. With that off it seems like a no brainer to swap out the bracket that has a stripped caliper bolt hole. Am I asking for trouble?

    No issue it's just two bolts a 3/4 and a 7/8

Yeah, pretty straight forward. If it's never been taken off, bolts might be a little hard to loosen. Stripped bolt hole isn't in the steering knuckle is it? That's a bigger job... removing ball joints, etc.

Its in the bracket where the caliper bolts go. Sounds like the way to go - Thanks!

Where is the torque spec for the two bolts/nuts that hold the steering arm to the spindle? I may be blind, and I can not find it in the manual or chassis books? I would guess 75 LB-FT but I hate to guess!
