Wow, an unreliable and hideous 16 second car... truly a loss. Just because a car is old doesn't make it cool. :Smarty:
Ha ha ya caught me p, I was gonna post my reason but I had to be off to work (overnight work sucks!) . The main reason why a lot of us wouldn't mind destroying one is because of the number of overwinged monstrosities w/ the massive mufflers which add to the noise made by their ground vibrating and their "able to drive anyone to excedrin in 2.2 seconds" stereos, subwoofers, etc and swerving through heavy traffic at well over excessive speeds(pretending to be their favorite tv star Paul "I have a pretty face and not much in the talent department" Walker). Thats mostly it, truely I see nothing wrong with the car itself, just the ego w/fingers usually driving it. Atleast thats why I would LOVE smashing one. Plus those things are still being built in HUGE numbers, something the T/A doesn't have on its side. Sorry for the rant, Patrick
To some extent your right, a Citation or a Renault LeCar will never draw big buyers. However, the T/A is much different creature all together. Its a great handling, braking (outdid the Corvette w/ all wheel disc in '79) car with plenty of comfort and looks to boot. Sure the engine was anemic but stuff a 400 or a 455 under that hood and watch that puppy fly!! Sounds like a true road king if ya ask me! Especially for 1981! Just my $.02. Patrick
Just so you know, it was a trans am. The camaro didnt have a shaker hood. =( I could have used so many parts from that.
