I will share that information just as soon as I can. Besides, the owner is a little high on prices right now {but not his wife if you can catch her} and as the summer wears on the prices will drop. Of course there was some of this going on when we arrived... :eek2:
I think most of the cars we would be interested in are safe. They had an S on them which we decided meant save and not scrap. The '65 Riv had it on it.
Thanks, please keep us all updated. I won't hesitate to take a trip that far to check a yard like that!
Junk Yard Tour Great pics Brian - thanks for sharing, almost as good as being there ! There's something about vintage tin, you can almost taste the rust and smell the powdery mildew. :TU: :beer
Interested in this yard!! I loved the pics - since I have just acquired a 68 Buick Wildcta, I saw some of the vehicles in your lots of pics that have parts would be applicable for my vehicle. I gotta come up and visit the yard this summer - I live in the Nashville area so it would not be a far trip for me if it is in KY. Please let me know where it is by replying to my email address. Thanks!! "opryman65@yahoo.com" Richard W
great pics thanks..... If that yard is 45 minutes southeast.......that would put it about 21/2 hours north for me......I want that 66 skylark!
Yard info: Hi guys. This is a bit premature but I wanted to be sure to share this with you. The yard Ken's is in California, KY. Here is the sign with all the info you need.
Well? Wonder what ever happened to this yard and old cars?? Did progress make it disappear? They don't seem to be in business anymore. Can we get an update from anyone in the area?
Ahh. Greetings my political brother! How are you? Sad news about Ken's. I heard he closed up because the liability insurance got to high (read lawyers). I saw a few of the cars, like the boat tail, for sale in local classifieds so I know all of them didn't get scrapped. :dollar:
