Very nice. Yes, my Brother-In-Law Ray is quite a guy. He has stayed single for his entire life, but makes up for it by spoiling everyone around him, including my boys, my wife, and myself. I was shocked when he gave me the car as he has had it for 12 years. I told him I would treat it right and restore it to the best of my ability. I am finding that Wildcat's are a bit of a rare breed. Everyone and their Uncle has a Mustang, a GTO, a Chevelle, Charger, Challenger...., but I have yet to find another Wildcat in southern Alberta. There is one for sale in Edmonton, but it is a 4 door '68 and has more rust than body. I don't think it would have the parts I require, which, actually, isn't a whole lot. Ray did take care of her. He just has different standards when it comes to restoration than I do. He is of the " Get it on the road and legal, Done!" I am of the "What did it look like new, that's my goal." Except the paint. I am painting her a lighter shade of blue that my wife likes. Happy wife.. happy life. Plus, she has bent over backward to get me the money I need to work on restoring the car, so, light blue it is.

From your pictures, the '67 and '68 share the same body lines. More of a round effect than the '66. Both are nice in their own way. My eldest son was shocked when I put the key in the ignition, on the dash. He had never seen that before. He asked how it locked the steering from there. I told him it doesn't lock the steering. Doesn't that make the car easier to steal? Let's not go there I told him.

I am up to 6 different people who have tried to purchase, or trade me for my car. I told them all the same thing. "Not For Sale or Trade". When I was younger, I yearned for a "67 Mustang, but now, when I see how common the Mustang is, I prefer my Wildcat. When I finish her, she will stand out from the crowd just by being different. Street Wheelers, as I mentioned before had about 350 cars, but the closest they came to a Wildcat was an Electra. It is nice to have a car with individuality, not a carbon copy of the car next to you.

Well, it is getting late so I will sign off now and wish everyone a good evening.

Hey @Dan E that looks like a solid car. Getting rid of the grime will make a huge difference. You'll be surprised how different it will look in pics in a year or two as you keep making improvements.

I’d say just give it a good clean up and drive it with the top down for the rest of the summer! Looks like an awesome $3500 purchase!

Ah, yes....seafoam green. My '67 had that same color, and looked about as worn when I got it. Hope it pulls well with the 340...if you can get a correct 430 in there it'll pull even nicer. A fun boat for sure.

Thanks guys I’m pretty excited. Drives pretty well, drove it 1.5 hours home up to 70mph. It’s a dog tho, won’t get out of its own way. Keeping it at 65 was kind of a struggle. Pretty sure a little tune up and some timing adjustment will wake it up a bit though.
