A little bit of Mopar enthusiasm here too! A0AD666A-2259-4630-B2E6-2DD211D9936D by Darron72Skylark posted Feb 22, 2020 at 10:22 PM
I toggle between the Skylark and the D100 panel in build/restoration attention currently giving more attention to the Skylark
Still not sure I love them MOPARs , but am certainly smitten. Been playing with my 71 496 Monte lately, but at least I will drive that one in the rain.
Fully on the road now! Nowhere near as cruisy as the Stage 1 but, cramped cab left knee hits the 3 speed column shifter when it's in third. And at 6 foot it's a battle to get in and out of, for such a large Ute, you'd think Chrysler Australia would've allowed a bit more cab space, I could cut the bulkhead and move in back 4 or 5 inches, I guess, if I end up keeping it. Another 10K would fit it with a 265 cube hot cammed block, and a set of triple Weber carbs, and a 5 speed Supra gearbox, and some LSD rear gears . Dunno if I wanna go that far but.
Nice job Oz! The text with my pictures vanished but these are our Mopars. I got into them for the same reason I got into Gran Sports, everyone else had a Chevy and I had to be different.
Dare to be different! As well as my Stage 1, and the Dodge ute, I ride Victory motorcycles, Viva la difference! and I live with them too
I am the last of seven. Six boys. My Grandpa was a Chrysler man. 53 Crown Imperial. 62 413 powered 300. My oldest brothers were Mopar guys. We had so many Mopars around us. 440 New Yorker. 70 300. 74 Duster 360. 70 Duster 340 4 speed. 58 De Soto Fireflite. 69 440 6 Bubble Road Runner. Etc etc etc.. Seen it all. Mad respect for Mopars...
Dare to be different! That's just one of the reasons that I ride Victory Motorcycles. I'm bringing this hotrod DownUnder at the moment, Sitting in a container in L.A. Bound for Australia. She's had a lot of work done, 2006 Kingpin, 116 inch, S&S stroker, Forgies and more! 134/144 at the wheel. Not so mellow yellow. Just finishing off this truck too, 1980 ex Aussie Army LandRover GMHolden 308 V8 Motorvation! the Power and the Passion....
