leaking heater core. bad leak

    1975 electra
    my heater core is leaking bad
    where can i get a quaility one or have mine rebuilt
    thank you

    Bypass it for now, check out Rock Auto for the replacement. ...Jim

    I own a 70 Skylark. Replaced my original brass with aluminum. 1 year, no issues. Jim

    Even if you show the car nobody but you will know that there's an aluminum heater core in there. Better heat transfer better heat. Loop out the heater hoses and flush the rest of the cooling system before you hook it up.

    one guy left in las cruces nm, who still willing to re-core original brass radiators and heater cores. He is doing a pair of mid seventies square body pick up heater cores for me, $35 each, that I got from the U pull it. Aluminum ones ARE cheaper but aren't original. The other few remaining radiator shops all want to sell you an aluminum job with plastic tanks if you need a radiator.
