Thinking this is the set you sold me for my build. So far its alive and well. Has made around 20 passes and nothing in the filter.(yet) went a best of 6.72 @ 101 in the 1/8 with a 1.40 60'

That be the stuff. Had Crower remake 3 of the rods. 6 months and 200.00 each. also had to flycut the pistons for the valve reliefs. With the cam lift, bigger valves and 1.71 rockers there was interference.

Well fellers, it's 12:47 in the morning, I'm finally home from Houston with the new beast. All I can say is HOLEEEEEEEE KRAPPPPPPPP. 703HP/626 TQ! Made 690 HP at 35 degrees, backed it off to 34 and whammo, 703 HP. Peak HP was at 6400, peak torque was at 5100. This was on 110 Sunoco, didn't get to play with the e85. A huge thanks to Cleat and Jeff at Westside Performance for assembling this beast, and to Chris Skaling for one seriously badass set of stage 2 SE heads. My poor Studebaker is not gonna know what hit it. Oh, and GS Kubisch you nailed it.

Congrats Bill! Awesome numbers for what you originally started out to do. Can't wait to see the Studebaker fly down the track later this year.

I run this setup with a couple of exceptions: I have Stage 1, 72 Iron Heads modest port work, nothing like your flow numbers, 950 Pro-system carb, I have -.006 Deck with Diamond flat tops .050 over size with a Schneider 298 306 cam lift .520 lift on E85. Just ran 10.50 @ 127 mph in my 78 Regal, weighs 3850, t400 tranny and 3.89 gear. HP? 600 to 650. My ride loves E85!

Since you requested, I placed a few of my videos on my YouTube channel link below. This particular video is a 10.68 pass, I made a shock change which got me down to 10.50 with a 1.41 60 foot time average with a best of 1.38. I put a couple on their in slow motion that I used to make suspension changes for better anti squat, I really like to watch these because the tires hang longer in slow motion.

Looking good, I suggest tightening the shocks a tad bid...

Hi Jeff, I'm not sure which video you were watching, if it was the 10.68 pass, I had cheap Summit front shocks which I have replaced with Strange single adjustable, that has eliminated the front end bouncing . This change, along with tightening the rear shocks dropped my 60 foot from low 1.50s to low 1.40s high 1.30s. I now have the rears set on 5, out of 6 adjustments and that has planted the tires much better. Thanks for the insight, I'll make note for next year.

Yes it was the 10.68 pass, I guess I got confused on the youtube channels you are certainly headed in the right direction. I will slip quietly away now....
Awesome job working that out, most don't !

Well, since you asked,Brizz, here it is! This is still 1994,same block almost 12 .1 compression, went with roller cam, still in the motor now,m ore duration and lift, same car,at Englishtown she went to 9.73.this with still Buick steel heads.Had this system for about 10 years, this with a 462 CI motor. Then I went with S-2 aluminum heads, with the same roller cam,the block stroked to 494 ci,with this system the short time went from 1.38 down to 1.24 and best time at Atco raceway in NJ,the car went a best of 9.12 and 147 mph.redid the short block one more time for small things, like the welding of the splash shield went right into the oil pump and distributor. With the rebuilt motor we recently went to NC.where I officially met Brizz, raced at the Burlington 1/8 track, the car is built for the 1/4 of a mile, and we went a best of 5.8 and 119 mph.Actually we had only 3 runs,we have some oil splashing on to the headers,so we stopped racing after the 3 run, trying to fix the problem. The 2 runs we had were both the same time, second run a little better then the first. Our short time at this track was not the usual mid 1.20's,we had a high 1.48 and 1.47 second run.Don't know what times we would have had if we did hook up,but that's life.Bruno.

It was cool hanging out with you. Wish you had stayed longer. I was pretty busy running around doing the class coordinator thing. You wasnt the only one having trouble hooking up there. My first pass each day was my best 60' and only went south from there.
