Little green hat

So guys I've been a member here for awhile now and I've watched my status go from noobie to well-know member but my real question is how do you earn enough "Buick cred" to loose that little green hat in the top left corner of the profile pic??? I try to "contribute" as much as I can for a novice buick guy but how long does it take and what do the moderators go by to judge your worthiness on here?? Ok guys fire away, tell me how you got your green hat cherry popped!

 

The little green hat shows that you are online and logged in.

 

Oh really?? Well I never knew that I thought it was a marker to show you were still "new"

 

Yep, definitely a noob question but now I know. I never read anywhere what that meant.

I always thought It was like a "green horn" hat or something and once you contributed enough to the group you could then move up a level. Like some of you guys have these real cool titles like "silver level contributor" or "super moderator" I just wanted to know how to be super cool too

 

Edit your custom title in your profile to "Super Cool" and you will be super cool or "Plum Crazy"

Was thinking to my self... Wait a min, I never got a green hat! what a rip off. Have always known that that green dot was a marker to ind. I was on line.
