Long story short, dad sold my blue 2d HT 67 skylark while I was in grad school, back in '06. No time, money or place to keep it. Fast forward a (cough....) few years and there is some time, a 3 car garage, and some Money.

Two thoughts I could use help with.
    1) am I insane to think I could find that car again? It was last owned in Silverton Oregon, sold maybe 3-4 years ago. I know the plate number. It was a situation where once I had the space, I contacted the owner...just a little too late.

    2) start over with a new project. Already got my eye on a 65 wagon, cause wagons are awesome. just procrastinating.

FYI, just from nosing around this seems like a great forum you guys/girls got here. I'm on forums for my Tacoma, the MR2, and my wife's Honda si, and this is already my new favorite even though I don't have a Buick :(
    Or own a v8 anymore :(:(

    Cheers for the help everyone.

I'd call the last number you had for the car. it might start you in the right direction.

Welcome aboard. If the car was special to you I would try to track it. However the chances are you won't find it or the current owner may want to keep it. There are a number of 67's available, or go for the wagon.

Yeah my rational side says just pick up a new project. Trying to buy a car off of someone who has no intention of selling it sounds like it could be quite expensive.

if you're looking to restore an old buick you clearly do not have a rational side!

Ha, fair enough. But I could show you some other projects that would make a Buick seem quite rational.
