Found this on the Washington, DC Craigslist the other day. Could be a good buy for someone.... https://washingtondc.craigslist.org/nva/pts/6862536965.html
It's actually a 1970 engine and Trans. After posting this lead today I decided to call about it. I'm going to pick it up tomorrow... Sorry if I got anyone's hopes up
if you wind up stripping the engine to rebuild, I'd be interested in that TCS solenoid bolted to the carb. Not to many people re-use them.
Brought it home yesterday! It's a 1970 SF block with a 7040247 carb. Good exhaust manifolds, no broken bolts or studs! It's a 70 BC Turbo 400 that was rebuilt a couple years ago; bright red fluid that smells good. The seller took a wire brush to the Trans case to "fight oxidation." Rhett if you'll get me your address I'll send you the TCS solenoid.
