I just purchased a complete shortblock assembly, and got a set of long tube headers with it. What interference do guys have installing long tubes on the full size cars? I have a welder, body hammers, etc in case they need a 'little persuasion'

Sorry to drag up an old thread but I'm looking at long tubes for my '70 electra and I was wondering A) which set you went with and B) what did you end up having to do to make them fit?
    Thanks

Right on, I had been looking at those. They seem to be the easier option. I'm still tossing around the idea of modifying a set of long tubes to fit, mainly just because I really am trying to squeeze everything I can get out of this land-yacht and I just love the way long tubes look.
I may just opt for the shorties but we'll see.
    Thanks for the reply!

I figured it would cost as much to mod long tube headers as it would to buy ta headers for my car. Plus long tube headers are a little overkill for my rear end gearing of 2.93
