Pulled the hood off to do some work on the engine and haven't got around to putting it back on. I have to say that I kinda like it without the hood. The wife says it looks too "redneck" (whats wrong with that), but my son likes it. I'll put the hood back on before too long, but thought I would show a pic without it. It definitely gets a lot of attention!
That is kinda cool. Could you post some pics of the engine compartment? I'd like to see some close ups of the dual air intake you have on there. I have been seriously considering the same for my 69 Skylark convertible/455. I am worried about it fitting w/a 455 under the hood. Thanks.
No problem. I didn't have any issues fitting it on the 350 with the stock hood.. BUT, my alternator is apparently upside down and lower than the original stock position. I like being a bit different than what typically is seen, so I like the double air cleaner, but I can't really say I noticed an improvement over the edelbrock air filter that was on it (rust spots, tarnished so I replaced). It is funny to watch people at stop lights peeking over checking the engine out.
