    looking for an orig 4 speed shifter ball for a 1970 GS GREGG poway CA 92064

    consolette....would consider the other one if it was mint cond....

    A car with a consolette would have a plain black ball since the shift pattern is on the console, a car with no console would have the ball with a pattern. Thornton has a nice reproduction available for $28.95. We used one of their plain black balls on a '70 Stage 1 4 speed and did not get a deduction in the concours class at the GS Nats. Also, just so you are not surprised, it is not a shiny black ball, it has a very slight texture, like the originals.
