    Hey good morning guys.
Lucy is in the shop having a brand new M23 Muncie installed that was built by jeff at Midwest Muncie.

My question is about the shifter boots. He tells me that there is an oval hole in the floor, roughly 6”x9” and he wants to know what kind of shift boot to put in there.
I’m not smart in these things; so I just want to go with something that:
-looks original or better than original
-provides sound deadeninng (if that’s possible at all?)
-and will cooperate with a 4-speed consolette (which I intend to continue hunting for) and a hurst shifter.

Can anyone point me in the right direction of a high quality shift boot that will fit the factory 4-speed hole; but play nice with a hurst shift handle as well??

Let me know if there are any expounding details I forgot to add.
    Thanks in advance fellas,
    -Jared

Here are a couple pics of the Muncie finally getting mounted up under the car. And more importantly, of the shifter hole in the floor.
Hopefully that’s helpful to some extent.

I think that’s perfect! Just called and ordered it. Thank you!

I do not think that the exact factory Buick shifter boot is currently being made.

Did you have to mod or dent the tunnel or underside in any way for the GV?

In terms of fitment of the GV, I didn’t do the trans install myself. I don’t spend nearly enough time at home to undertake that job... it simply would never get done.

I’ll be back home in a week or two... hopefully the car will be ready for pickup and I can let you know about the fitment of the GV.
