Was given this cam by a member. Pretty sure it is an SP2X made by Lunati for TorqueTech. Line 103- If this is indeed what I think it is, I could use a cam card for this specific bumpstick, perhaps a copy? If this is NOT an SP2X , WTH is it? Looking to utilize it in this winters engine upgrades ( Stage 1 Irons 64cc , SP1 Intake , Dominator 1050 ) Also looking for recommendations for lifters to use with it, as well.. Any help is greatly appreciated, as always. Jim
I ran the SP2X 230/240, 110 for several years and I’m pretty sure I remember that it was stamped “SP1” on the end, just like yours. Good running cam and sounded mean. I still have the cam in a box around here somewhere and i know I have the cam card too. I’ll see if I can put my hands on it.
Pretty much says what it is SP1 230I/240E/110LSA. There's nothing tricky about the timing numbers once you you know the .050 numbers and LSA using this calculator: http://www.wallaceracing.com/cam-deg-calc.php Just about as EZ as having a cam card:
On a used cam there is a lifter that seats in easier can't remember if it's the Johnson or Delphi call and ask Mike at TA
So after today's events it will be a few weeks b4 I can look this up. My wife just had a positive covid test so we are locked in the house for 2 weeks
Hope that it is a minor case. No problem with the wait . This ain't happening until the snow flies . Jim
It was bound to happen seeing she works both at the locsl ER and local fever clinic....actually surprised its been avoided this long
Been doing some forum searchs and reading. JW recommends Comp Cams Pro Magnum lifters for Hydraulic Flat Tappets.
