*in Jerry Sienfield voice* Can it haaave any more gauges? Well done build though. Anybody recognize the broad in the pictures? Is she someone famous? Makes it look like the car was on a build show and she was getting it in the end.
Sorry, not familiar with Mrs. Vaughn. Good guess on my part that she was probably famous though. Wasn't the Hurst stuff just an Olds thing or did they do it with other makes too?
Other than the copious amounts of gauges everywhere they could mount one, i actually quite like that.
so you dont know linda 'miss hurst golden shifter' and you dont know about cars like the chrysler 300 hurst?
Are we finally getting past the "everycar must be silver/grey/platinum" phase? It looks kind of dated to me. Neat otherwise.
Nicely executed. I agree, a bit excessive with the gauges. I like the poverty caps better. Looks more 'sinister'. The stripe on the front fender should, in my opinion, be 'curved' a bit lower. The way it rises makes it look like an out of place decal.
The car is kind of nice-different. But if Flavor Flav designed the layout the steering wheel would probably look something like this.
Linda Vaughn is drag racing royalty. Oldsmobiles Pontiacs Chryslers and others. Last picture she is with Shirley Muldowney.
I know Pat, I've met her like 6-7 times. She's really a nice person, too. We were at an OCA Nats in PA, she was there. One member of our club was too sick to go(George Berejik). We asked her to sign some souvenirs and write some stuff for him because he's a friend/fan of hers. She's cool.
