jamhdit... As in Chicago proper? We are in Skokie, headed down Thursday night.

Adam... you don't have to bring a Buick... we'll let you in anyway.

Thanks for the invite, but when I blew my engine, I blew a hole in my wallet, too.

Hi - yes, Saturday is the only Buick only day. I don't see why you can't bring the mailbu with - should not be a problem. We don't know how crowded they normally are - last year was our first year with them, and both US 41 and a track in Michigan were having issues, so a lot of their racers were at Osceola. I know US 41 is running, and I believe the other track is running as well, so we'll have to play it by ear. We also had a wet track to dry in the morning, so we ended up combining with their program on Sunday. Hopefully this year we will have our own lanes and racing on Sunday.

They tore down and re-built the bathrooms over the winter, and I'm not sure about showers. I have a question about it on turbobuick.com

Regarding leaving the track after hours and coming back in, it was not allowed last year for security purposes. I'm assuming the same thing for this year, but you can ask when you come in.

We've not put together the formal program yet, like Beth said. Still have to talk to the track owner and see what's what. Thanks for posting last year's, Beth - it may be the same, just not sure yet. If there are major changes, we'll post them as soon as we find out.

Hope to see some more Buick Thunder there - sounds like a lot of the turbo guys will be in attendance!

    Volunteers
Yup, we need them, and badly! We always need help with the tent, car show, racing, directing traffic, etc. If you do volunteer, we’re prepared to buy you dinner Saturday night at a place in Elkhart that we have set up. This dinner is for volunteers, sponsors and track personnel. So please let us know if you can help out!

I'll help if I can. I will be coming to watch only. Had to leave the beast at home in favor of another get together the following week, but wanted to see this event. Let me know what I can do.

Bobb, I'm sorry but we had to tell one of our club members - Saturday is Buick or Buick powered only. If they want to Friday night or Sunday with the track's regular test and tune, sure.

    Sorry about that.

    Take care,

    Shari

no problem I said something to him and said I would ask I know car counts have been low this year at alot of events and thought it would be good in two ways she could get seat time and the event would get another entry.I'll let him know I think he said if that didn't work out he was going to go to martin with the family and run there they have a weekend braket race. just doesn't get alot of seat time there. See you in a couple of days.

    Hey Shari,
I thought you said we could bring our buddy with the Mailu and he could race on saturday. After reading your reply to Bobb it sounds like he won't be able to race on saturday. That is fine either way but I'm sure he won't come now. I don't know how anyone else feels but in my eyes it's another paying car that helps cover the cost. He knows he can't take part in eliminations, he just wants some seat time.

I'm sorry - I guess I'm getting more blonde every day. I totally forgot about your friend, and Loyd made the decision today about our other club member.

I promise we'll be better organized next year.....
