I'm sad to report that we lost Mike Lane April 27th to pancreatic cancer. His brother Bill called me today to let me know of Mike's passing. Mike had been fighting the cancer for the last 17 months. I wish I had known about it at last fall's race. I briefly talked to Mike and Bill, but would have never guessed Mike was sick. Mike owned the Mayfair Maize (light yellow) 1965 Pontiac 2+2, equipped with the 421 HO (Tri Power), automatic, 3.42 gears, and those beautiful 8-lug wheels. Mike also owned a '67 GTO, 65 GTO clone, and a 64 Galaxie 500XL. Please keep Bill and Mike's families in your thoughts and prayers. Dan
Our condolences to Mike Lanes family and friends. We are sorrowed to hear of your loss... The Corsello Family
Nothing worse than Pancreatic Cancer; Mike was able to ward it off longer than most, bless his heart. He was a great competitor and a gentleman: RIP, Mike, with condolences to his family from Team Studebaker. BP
By Mike's racing his 2+2 it helped motivate my father to at least get his 65 Catalina in process to be back on the road. My sympathies to the Lane family. Cancer (especially pancreatic) sucks!
