Original to the car is the solid frame and body tub, core support, inner fenders, front hub assemblies, front and rear bumpers, doors and all sheet metal and stainless trim (one repaint in late 1980’s), interior head liner, front and rear door & sail panels, dash pad, seat frames, door hinges, window regulators and tempered glass, dash wiring harness, front light wire harness, rear intermediate harness, steel tube brake lines.

The rest of the car is made up of new parts, OEM, NOS or top of the line performance brands, and is a essentially new car in sleeper cover. I have attached a PDF file of the breakdown of the cost records I have tracked and saved.

Ran regular quarter miles 12.12-12.40@115-117 mph with 1.94 -60’s before new trans which is certain to dial mid 11’s. Drive to the track and back.
$35,000 buys this car from me.

    Yeah, I know...
    "In your dreams!"
"$35k for a 1970 Skylark; not even newly painted?"
    "Your on crack dude!"
"Does it come with a trunk full of blow?"

I have $50,000 in receipts and records and over 500 man hours into it. Considering that I buy most common parts at fleet discount and performance parts at Pro Shop discount, the value is greater.

I don’t need to sell it. I adore it and the car is an absolute blast to drive and race. I just don’t get it out enough and it wants to be driven and raced more than I want to. I am looking to recover a decent amount of the parts investment. If you are that right person or know someone that wants, a turn-key, freshly built street strip car, and willing to pony up, let me know. It costs a lot more to build if one desired to have a car built to these specifications.

The most the oldest replacement part has on it is 600 miles, more parts have less than 250 miles and some like the new trans only 75 miles or less.

    Thanks for looking.
