wondering how that chrome paint would look on the outline of the a/c vents and the OFF and ON lettering on our dash vents if that would work. Formerly I have used a silver paint marker but after seeing what Larry did on his valve covers, made me think using it for the dash. Any thoughts?

Yes. It works very well. I got a 1mm pen and did the outlines on my '68 dash and it looks very good.

Just make sure you shake it up real well and keep shaking aver minute or so.
The nib will pull out, it is not secured in the pen, so it can be flipped around if it gets worn or you need to clean any gunk off.

Do not touch the finished paint if you can help it, until it has cured a few days.
If you do, it will look like flat silver/aluminum and be a bit darker.

I do not know how long it will keep that bright shine, but it is easy to apply again.

    Hope that helps. :)

BTW, if anyone knows of a black paint pen that works as well for applying to raised letter and trim lines, let me know. My '68 dash has black letters and with the brushed nickel, silver does not show as well and I tried black paint with a brush, but I do not have the steady hands I once had and cannot get as good an application as I can with a pen like the Molotow.

That's where I got the idea from. I remember guys using that marker for the dash. I'm sure there are threads on it.

Gentleman Thank You for the information. Larry, did you purchase them on line or at a local store?

X2 on the vent lettering. I also use the stuff on my model car builds.
