I think I figured out the problem and it ain't the car. I'm almost 62 yrs old and racing against 20-30 yr old guys/gals, I'll just have to live with it! Congrats on your track championship.

You can try to go larger on the air bleeds to see if that will help with the launch and 60ft. Don't go past 40 on the air bleeds if you try it.

Running two classes (Sportsman/Pro) with this car is a problem because the car runs 1-3 tenths quicker than allowed in Sportsman class (7 flat index). I'm going to put the 1000HP Holley carb on just the front two barrels and see what the car will run. I'm thinking maybe 7.20's are so? I don't want to kill any timing as its only at 34 degrees now anyway. This is the way all my friends kill ET when there cars are to fast for the class index but I'm the only one with a Buick. Guess Sunday I'll see how it works.

The car went 7.18 @ 95 mph and I went rounds in both classes. Don't know if this is the best way to slow one down but it worked OK today.

I'm going to put the Regal in the Race cars for sale section in the next few days. If anyone out there is interested it will be $10.000 turn key. The best ET to date is 6.73 @ 101.90 mph in the 1/8 mile. The engine, transmission, and convertor have 75 passes to date on them. The only picture I have of the car is my AVATAR at this time. The reason I'm selling the car is that I'm getting older and I want to build the car of my dreams, a 1959 Pontiac 2-door car or especially a wagon. If I don't start soon, I'm afraid I will be to old to do so. If interested just PM me. Thanks

Hate to see you selling your car. You going on to something bigger and better? I know what you mean about Beech Bend, you better have your act together to run there. I also hate that they restrict the footbrake class. That's why I don't come up there and run. Too much to slow down. I'm already slowing down .25 to run NMCA NSS. I remember running up there several years ago with my 68 and at the time you could only run 7.50. It had a basicly stock motor with a little cam and would run 7.40s. I got the bright idea one Sunday to shift it at 5000 instead of 5500 like I always had. Go out and make a pass and it goes 7.33, fastest it had ever been. From then on I shifted at 5000.

Today is the last day my Regal will be for sale in the Race cars for sale section. I won't come down on the price (I'm already giving up about $5000) but someone is passing up on a great buy. This is a killer Bracket car and a blast to race.

I didn't know you could put your ad back in the Race car for sale section with just a click of a button but I just did it. Didn't mean to tell a porky but I didn't know any better. This is a good car but I know money is short for alot of people so we will just see what happens.

Reduced the price by $1000.00 (to $9000.00) for my Regal race car today. No way can you build a Regal that will run 6.70's (1/8 mile) and stay together for this price. Other details about the car are in the race car for sale section.

Price reduced to $8000.00. Your just paying what I have in the motor (almost), I'm giving you the rest of the car for free.

You are killing me with that price. I can not believe somebody has not jumped on that car for that price. I wish I could afford it. Maybe that is the problem, everyone is out of money.

The price is killing me also but I want the car gone before winter gets here. I first wanted to sell the car and get a 59 Pontiac (car of my dreams) but have since changed my mine as a 59 Pontiac would not fit in my small garage or enclosed trailer. I now think I'm going to buy a street rod instead when/if I can sell the Regal. I'll race it tomorrow at Beech Bend so maybe someone will be interested with the $2000.00 price drop. The car went 7.14 @ almost 97 mph last weekend and thats on a two barrel carb (1000HP) with the back two barrels disconnected and deep staging the car.

I love your Regal. If my Impala SS was paid for I'd try to trade ya.
Good luck w/the sale, if I had the dough I'd buy it.

Its to cold to work on it now (40's) so guess it will go on a hold for awhile. My buddy Punkin (transmission guy) said to drag it down to his shop (business is slow) and we could finish it there. I may take him up on his offer?

The last race of the season (except for the Thanksgiving race if the weather improves) is tomorrow so after that the car will be retired for the winter. I'm pretty sure I will still have it for sale in May, who knows?
