For sale is the M20 out of my green car. It was rebuilt during the restoration, has about 2500 miles on the rebuild. No sticky tires/racing, just typical street driving. Never had a problem out of it, worked 100%, I just always had plans to put in an autogear M23 and that finally happened. It was rebuilt with all new bearings, seals, counter shaft, torque lock sliders and upgraded with an iron midplate for added strength. Brad Penn gear oil is what was useduin it. No signs of broken ears being welded. The gm gears are in great shape, not all chipped up. Only signs of wear are minor on the edge of the reverse gear, typical of a non syncro reverse gear. Still, never an issue getting into reverse. Always shifted very smooth, no grinding. Trans was painted when rebuilt with lover aluminum paint. Comes with a Hurst shifter and linkage. I don't know much about the Hurst or the linkage, it was purchased used, but always worked well. Also included is a mcloed throwout bearing, strange engineering yoke (please note, this yoke is for a 1350 u joint!), a centerforce dual friction 11" clutch (2500 miles as well, looks almost new. Disc only, no pressure plate), and the proper length speedo cable for a 70-72 a body (and likely 68-69, but I cannot confirm). I likely have a few other random odds and ends I'll include, as I find them (pivot balls etc, little piddly stuff not worth listing). Great transmission for a street car if somebody's doing a swap on a budget!

I'm asking $1200 for the lot (but I bet if you offer close I'll take it.... ;) ) and really don't want to ship at this time (it's it'd be pricey!). Located outside Lebanon Ohio, I'd consider meeting up between Cincinnati and columbus if that helps. I'll leave it listed here a few days, then it's being listed locally. Please don't hesitate to ask any questions!

    Specifics about this transmission:

Housing casting number 3925660 which shows it to be a 1968 or 1969 transmission. Tailshaft number 3846429. Cover number 3884685. M20 wide ratio (2.56 first gear). 10 spline input, 27 spline output.

Will you be at Bowling Green in Oct? Can you post pictures of the shifter and handle (if handle is included)? I wanted to mention this, it might help your sell. I am not in line.

I will be at BG in October, though I'm hoping this sells before then to help fund some pre-BG upgrades for my car. The shifter is obviously visible in the 1st and 4th pictures, but if another angle is preferred I'd be happy to oblige.

As per usual, any and all feedback/inquiries are welcome.

That looks like a heck of a deal. Wish I didn't already have one. Nobody here needs a Muncie that's ready to drop in for a bargain price?

Agree that it looks like a deal. Wish I had a project that I could use it on.

Thank you gentlemen, I'm inclined to agree! (But maybe I'm biased...haha).

I'll also include a like new 7236 shifter handle. IMG_20180721_140407034.jpg
