The fenders are done and the inside is painted. Love that green!! The outside will be done with the rest of car. The hood and deck lid are being work on currently. Well the suspension is getting there. Worked on her al day saturday and pretty have the driver side completed. Put on new lower control arm, new ball joints, new stops, new control arm shaft, new bushing for both upper and lower control arms, new shock, and a new spring. Hoping to do the passenger side next week!

Yes the whole car will be painted its original color, and leaning toward not putting the white top on the car. I saw the covers and have been thinking about them but I'm stuck on that since I need door panels, headrest and rear seat covers and what if they dont match well. Think its an issue or am I over thinking that great deal?

    docgsx It's not a GTX

Looks like some body loved to side-step the clutch and light the tires up...regularly!

Post some pics of the trans and undercarrige if you get a chance. I would like to see the 4 speed details.

    Great car

I will get some pics of the underneath soon since my next major things are dropping the tank and tranny to fix the speedo and gas guage. Well here is the new front end completed finally. Also put all new body mounts in her and I must admit that went about as good as I ever could imagine. Finally something went my way! LOL

well I have not been able to find time to visit the car or work on it. I'm waiting on my hub to have a stud welded in by a professional. Its holding me up for the next things on my todo list but hopefully I will get back on track soon. In the mean time starting working on cleaning up and painting other parts like my radio bezel and rear tail light lenses. here are a few pic's of how they came out. Not bad for the first time.

OK dropped the fuel tank. Have a new sending unit on its way. Someone wanted to see the underneath so I also took some shots of it and a few of the building as well. Today went and drained the tank and replaced all the little rubber fuel lines under the car in the back as well. wow they were bad too. you can tell this is not an Ohio car :) The owner of the building my car is at just finished installing a lift, and Hope to find out how it well it works soon:)

Well cleaned up the gas tank and tried to clean up the inside of it as well. Not a fan of messing with acid so did what a few suggested. im sure it helped but was not impressed though. Just received a new sending unit and will be putting the tank back in next weekend hopefully.

Just got my deck lid back from the body guy and things were looking pretty good until i got news about the gs hood. when he stripped it he found out that the car was hit up front at some point and the hood sustained a lot of damage in that area. It will be fixed the best he can but will still need a lot of mud. I'm hoping to swing by to see it soon, but i guess I will have to look for a good 70 GS Hood at some point. Not a good start to a new year.

Gas tank is back on and she fired right up, yanked the doors off and sent them out to my body guy. As a bonus the fuel gauge seems to be working now as well. Pushed the car to the lift and plan to get a good look of the underneath for the first time soon.

Its getting busy with tax season now but have done a few more things...found out why speedo gears keep getting eaten...someone beat on the drive gear on the shaft of my M20. So off it went two weeks ago and shoul dbe done this weekend I think. Having a gear replaced and a rebuild so i dont have to worry about it. Took out seat etc and worked on removing sound deadner. Once removed will be getting rid of the surface rust. Floor looks good but not suprised since its a CA car. I have everything for my cluster ready and will be assembling it this weekend. Pics to come it looks good too. Attached a bad pic of my other baby keeping the GS company its my 2007 Lund boat.

Well I got the m20 back and have put it back in the car. its getting close to going in to the body guy. Linkage lined up and thing seem ok. still have some sticking in the shifter and wondering if the shifter itself is making it stick and not going into neutral with wriggling. Would like to fix this and hopefully someone can tell me when I post.

Off to get some body work done. Didn't get everything done but they are willing to let me come in and work on it as they go along so I can finish the things we need too. I wasn't ready but they were so I had a flat bed pick it up. I think the alternator took a crap now as well...well not sure yet but we figured out that the back reverse rod is wrong to the car thanks to some pics from BOP. This rod is hitting the tail housing and could be helping the sticking problem. So off to find one.

Stopped by to see the progress on the cars body work. I dropped it off last Sunday and 36 hours worth of work has been done. Its coming along nicely and the car has been getting a lot of attention from people dropping by and looking at.
