Funny story about the return home..I was pulling the car on a tow dolly and we got near Harrisburg Pa and some stupid old goat in a big camper decided to cut me off. I remember seeing the car out my RH side window as I was sawing the wheel to keep from hitting the dumbass. My brakes locked up and the swerving commenced..Almost totalled both vehicles in about 30 seconds..We made it home OK but sure had a heck of a ride..
Steve Reynolds is a master craftsman and great Buick Guy. I highly recommend using Steve.....a class act 100%....just too bad he is a Cheese Head, LOL. I received my 455 SRF oil pan....almost a shame to put it on the car. Just beautiful workmanship. Thanks again Steve.
I remember reading this entire thread a few years ago & just re-read the while thing - I enjoy doing the sheetmetal work & so it's always great to see how others approach it. Had a '72 Post Sedan many years ago w/hopes of making it into a racecar but it just didn't work out. Like Pat, should've hung onto it but it's always nice to see one of your former cars get the treatment it deserves. Having gotten to know Dan a little bit since first reading this made it even more enjoyable - Dan is one of the nicest (& humble) guys in this hobby and obviously knows his stuff. I knew he'd figure out how to at least play with restoring some parts with that broken leg. Maybe he'll post a pic of his cast.
Dan very kind words....I am really looking forward to finishing my Buick and getting to meet many of you at a National Buick event. Fun! Here is my cast that I had my buddy air brush Since....I have it hanging at the shop....I am currently on my second cast. Guys don’t ever break a major bone at mid age (55) it Sucks!
The leg cast and the boot are off my leg I am currently in therapy. A few up dates to the Buick. I had the original door mirror chromed.
