    Jim,

Thanks for you replys, I appreciate it. I should have specified that when I said, correct tag for the transmission..... I was thinking correct match for the 455 SF engine, rather than the car. This way both the engine and trans came out of a 1970 Electra, however not the same 1970 Electra.

    Thanks,
    Dan

I am sorry that I let that one go,but at the time I had my crappy old garage and it was sitting in there with all the water troubles I used to have. Bought that car from Crazy Rays in Baltimore and towed it home with the Tacoma. Damn near got killed when an old geezer cut me off at 65 mph. When I looked back in the mirror, the truck was in one lane, and the car and tow dolly was in the opposite lane..That car will look bad assed with those wheels on it...What kind of wheels are they? are they aluminum or just painted that way?

    Pat,

Nice of you to chime in..... the wheels are Polished Aluminum Weld Draglite`s 15x3 in front and 15x10 in the rear, with 4.75 back-spacing

Pat did your wet old garage cause the rusty passengers side floorboard? If not, my guess is a heater core that went bad. This car was born with a "Rubber Floor" which were notorious for holding moisture.

Glad you were able to save the car from the Old Geezer that cut you off.

Was "Crazy Rays" a used car dealership?

    Dan,
That was the way I received it.It was only in my garage a couple months. Crazy Rays is a U pull it type junkyard.I had a friend who told me about it and took pics of it. I then struck a deal for it and went after it.The story about the car is that it was donated to a church and it wasn't sold,so they sold it to Crtazy Rays for cash. When I bought it,the blue rubber mat was in it but not in good shape. Someone had stripped the back seat, dash and wiring harness as well as front clip except the front bumper.I have the front bumper brackets here for spares for my Maggot car.I bought the brown doors from Duane Heckman and that was about all I did to it before selling the car to Kevin. I know somewhere I have pics of the car on the tow dolly and in my back yard.I regret selling it now. Would have made a better racecar than my current 70,which I have to watch what I swap as it is in nice shape and I don't want to ruin it. As for your wheels,How do you attach the Dog dishes to the Draglites? I really like that look and would like to use that on my 70 too..
