Pulled the motor and tranny out of the GS today. To get it ready for the swap. Please notice all the tranny fluid. I had read threads that reminded me to plug the back of the transmission, but i got excited and forgot. I did check the compression before pulling is and everything checked out OK. Trying to get a list of things together for my TA performance order. I'll post that once I get it together. Taking several parts to a friends bead blaster this weekend, hope to get it looking and running good.

Disassembled the 455 tonight. Taking the heads to get worked on tomorrow. Intake, valve covers, oilpan, and manifolds will all be blasted this weekend. I really need to get the TA order locked in. I just keep seeing more things I want.

Are you parting the GS to build the Skylark?

I am using the Motor, trans, and rear out of the GS in the skylark. After the Skylark is done, I'll turn my attention to the GS again. Eventually the original trans and rear will go back into the GS. It will be awhile before the GS gets going, so I figured Id enjoy the big block and posi since it was just sitting there.:Do No:

    Heads are back.

The heads are back in. They look so pretty black itll be hard to paint them again. Ended up spending over twice as much as I thought i would. Had to replace the valves, the springs, and locks. Guy did a jam up job.

Well Typical paint guy, 3 weeks turns into 5. So im hoping for 6. But its cool I have plenty to do in the mean time.

    This friday, I got engaged.
    jimmandy.jpg

She told me she didnt want to pull off in a small block so the 455 will be in before Nov. 20th. Needless to say she got me motivated. started some assembly tonight. Freeze plug is leaking. Going to get it good and clean then get some paint on it. I just need to find a performer intake.
