Nice metal fab. Looking forward to the rest of your build. I like the looks of the 71, but its just small stuff, over the 72.

You GOTTA know I'm kidding!!!! We all know the kind of numbers the 70s pull when it's time to sell one. Higher compression motors, etc. It's just nice to see somebody put together a 71 or 72. I love them all.:TU:

Let me know Ray, I still have stuff here. I acquired a shroud, but think it's for a big car?
My son crashed his Lesabre, probably totaled.
How did you make those perfect window channels on the driver side back window, might have to do the same on my '71?

    hello all
i have not done to much on my car.
i found out i had lung cancer in oct. and was in for surgery a week later! (oct 30).
i was home on the 1st of Nov.i had( VATS upper lobectomy) they cut out half my left lung~
yup two and half days.and i was home.out of work for 4 weeks.and now back to work..
i am vary vary vary vary lucky!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i am cancer free 100% and dr. said small chance of it coming back..
i am lucky because they never find it so early 95% of time,
last year oct 30 2011 we got snow and the next day i went out to start my van to melt off the ice and i fell and broke a rib,
so a week later ( after my wife naggin me )i went to get a x-ray and they found two spots on my lung.
so i had a ct scan then 3mo later ct scan and dr. said not to worry looks like going away so 6mo later ct scan and one spot was gone and one was bigger, went in for a pet scan and to see a surgeon and here we are.

4 days after i had surgery my wife got in a bad accident with my truck she walked away with just bumps and scraps and a concution,so she was out of work for a week and half day after her accident i took her to the dr,s ans on the way home we blow the motor in her car,WHAT THE F**K I SAYS!
I look over at my wife and with tears in her eyes she just start to laughing so we just sat there on the side of the road and laugh.
so how can i say i am lucky you ask?
well we both could had died and we are still on the right side of the dirt!!
wife got a brand new car and we got 28,500.00 for the truck,i only payed 30,000 for it new in 2007 it was a 40,000 truck and it only had 32000 mi on it but thats when all went to hell for the dealers..i will post some pic of the truck.
i will be back on my gs this weekend!!

Well Ray I'm glad you have not lost your sense of humor. Congrats on kicking cancers azz!! I hope you and Cindi fully recover and get going on that '72 again.
Did Superstorm Sandy affect you guys up there?
I've still been outta work since the mill closed back in April, really frustrating looking for work. Lots of close calls but nothing yet.
Here's to a much better 2013 for us all!!
    Harold

I always wondered who bought Stewart's Stage 1. Congrats, Ray. Awesome car, and very solid indeed.

I went and looked at it when it was for sale, but I already had several projects and was really looking for a 70 GS (just for you, Kevin!).

Did you get the NOS 455 short block he had in the crate sitting next to the car?

Glad you survived the cancer and the wife is ok from the wreck. Keep up the good work on the GS! :TU:

I do not know Stewart well or if he has anymore parts. I met him when the car was listed for sale locally which was many years ago.
