    Ive had this car since I was 22. Its a 1971 GS-455.

Original GS-455 car although it wears Stage 1 fender emblems. When I painted the car in 1990, I installed full NOS quarters, NOS fenders and an NOS core support. Originally Sandpiper beige with a brown top, its painted all black with no vinyl in Sikkens single stage urethane. The paint looks like it was painted last year. Frame and floors are nearly perfect. There is literally 3 pinholes in the trunk floor from the stupid trunk mat.

A/C car- The air conditioning is installed and complete but not charged. Power windows, tach and gauges. Instrument cluster was NOS 30 years ago. Complete Legendary interior. Bench seat/ column shift car. AM/FM radio that works.

Engine is .030 over 455. Gessler heads. Scotty did even more porting on them back in the day. TA308S solid cam, TA 1.6 rollers, JE pistons, TA front cover, MSD pro billet dist and 6A box, TA single plane intake and a QF 950. MT headers and a new as of last year full TA 3" exhaust. Trans cooler lines are run through frame to a B&M super cooler. Engine run very well. Engine was assembled By McBetts. Trans is an FB with a pro Torque 10" converter with an anto ballooning plate welded on.

Rear is the original 10 bolt with 3.73's. 15x7 chrome plated wheels with G60-15's. It was an original Super Sport wheel car. There's a nearly perfect N-25 bumper on it but Im not using the holes because of the 3" exhaust. I do have the cow bells and hangers for it that go with the car.

It a really nice car that runs strong. Im convinced its got 11.50's in it with a good driver.
Car is located on the south shore of LI approx. 55 miles east of NYC. The most important thing is that it goes to a good home. Someone who will take good care of it like I have for the past 30 years.

I'll post pics in a few...

The original matching numbers shortblock is out of the car. Its was rebuilt by Scotty years ago. Its got Speed Pro forged pistons and a Lunati SP1X cam. Hast been in the car in 25 years. I'd freshen it up before re-installing it.

So matching numbers engine, trans and rear. I have the build sheet for it. Sold new at Raymond Buick in Bay Shore NY. Always a LI car.

I was asking $35k. Ive lowered the price to $30k

Honestly, I have too many cars Fred. Part of the plan to downsize and simplify my life a little. I just cant keep up with them all anymore. Disregard all the crap in the car, just got home from the LI Buick Club car show.

I was literally thinking about when you would list this today!

You can't restore one for this money.

I can see a little sellers remorse after this one leaves the stable. Truthfully the car will meet & exceed all expectations when viewed in person GLWS !

Its going to be tough parting with it Bob. But it will allow me to concentrate on the others. Maybe even put some nice paint on the Aquamist car.

I really don't think you can. And for what its worth, I bought this car from Mike Schmeltzer, aka "Hacksaw Mike". Kinda saved it from getting parted out.

When I did this car, I literally got almost everything from the dealer- quarters, fenders, core support, etc. And what wasn't available over the counter, I got from the Nats. Try doing that today, then getting just the bodywork and paint done for under $30k. Much less the rest of the car

Mind as well post up some more pics-

    KIMG2409[1].JPG

This is the only damage to the trunk floor. And its my wn fault for leaving the trunk mat in it. As you can see there is some orangey rust below the folding chair, but that will clean up with some light sanding followed up by a mist of spatter paint. The rest of the trunk is like the day it was installed. No repairs whatsoever.

    KIMG2410[1].JPG

Again, the trunk drop offs, tank braces and inner wheel houses original. No repairs and like the day they were installed.

    KIMG2416[1].JPG

Not much to see here except some rusty M/T's. Underside is original, unrestored. Floor pans are clean. Frame isn't pitted. Neither are any of the components like control arms, etc. Everything is clean and original. I will admit the underside could use a good scrubbing and detailing. Always wanted to replace the tank with a new shiny one.
