My first engine block rebuild

    Yes, I lubed each lobe as I installed it.

    Same used cam? New cams can have runout.
    Cam Bearings can get cocked easily using those pound the bearing in install tools.....
    That's why they may need slight reaming.

    I'm using the original cam. I lined up the oiling holes but I did get a backup set knowing I could very well mess up a bearing during installation.

    It was a mistake to begin assembly of that block without cutting the decks.

    How far in the hole were your pistons?
