Mock up motor in place and frame pads are now tightened down where they need to be now time to finish the control arms them install the real motor.
Quite a project...If anyone has to ask why? they will never know!!! Please keep updating us with pics and progress reports, and for F**k's sakes, be sure to let us know when we can see it go!
That is Totally bad a_ _ . :eek2: David I have a few questions for you. Who makes those A arms? How much weight do they save? Do you mind sharing a picture of your roll cage. And last one is that a Mopar master cylinder.
I found the control arms on racingjunk.com, Pro fab was the name. I have seen them listed on ebay before too. Weight savings I am going to say about 20-25 lbs at least. I have the coil over conversion too that I am in the middle of installing, hopefully sitting back on the ground by the end of this weekend. I am using the inside of the car as a storage container right now. So you would not be able to see much of the cage for now. I still have not installed the side bars, I still have alot of work let on the inside. Mopar or Wilwood? I will hve to check It was allready on the car when I got it. Um, why do I see lower tubular control arms? Please.... where... did... you... get... them...
That serpentine belt is sure interesting........get them pics up!! You couldn't go wrong with that aluminum rad. Should be a no brainer for the rest of us too! :beer I guess with the powermaster you're not going to worry about vacuum problems. I read about so many turbo dudes going back to vacuum. What made you stary with the powermaster? Also as a matter of reference what frame pads do you have on that puppy? :3gears:
Shawn I just realized that I have been hijacking your post here ou: I am going to start a thread for my car also. I will be more than willing to share any info there about my car. Thanks David
No problem David, I was wondering what happened. I just went with the flow and checked out you car Davey; I should have the engine back before Christmas(man, what a Christmas present for me) and hopefully be running by the new year. I have also added a Ford 9" w/4.56 and a fuel cell as well as a 1050 dominator while the car has been down. I will be posting pictures soon. As far as the powermaster setup, it was there and still working good so I left it as I knew there would be very little vacuum if any for a booster. If it ever gos out I may do something different. I started this as a good running street car, but have went a little further than I should have. I had 1 run on the old motor and it ran 7.26 in the 1/8 mile with ET streets and got off it before the end because I could hear it starting to knock. Cant wait to make a full pass. Shawn
Shawn, My christmas present will be seeing that regal at the track before the end of the year!!!! Say the word I'll play hooky from work to help you get that Puppy back in. :TU: David thanks for answering my question about the A arms. BUT you did it again. :spank: Why did you have to show the picture of that transmisson. What's the story on that bell housing.
Six!!! :spank: We don't need no stinking six. Seriously RT. Shawn is going to be hard to handle. I want to be in the stands filming the battle of the brothers, turbo vs big block. I've got goose bumps.
$$$$$$$$$ Send me the $$$$ little brother and I would have it ready to go. Still a lot of people wanting to get yours going. I would love to watch you make a run through my rear view mirror. Shawn Carlin
Good one ou: OK you got me, we will just have to see when the time comes. I will be posting pictures soon. Going to the machine shop 12-09 to see how it is coming along. I live in Texas and dont see below freezing temps that often except for sure when I am going to put a motor in. never fails. Shawn
Engine is back!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My dad went and picked up the engine yesterday from the machine shop and I will be dropping it back in today. Will post some pics in a couple of days. Shawn
New Motor Pictures Well I got the motor back and almost ready to go. Just wanted to update my photos. Cant wait for the test run  :3gears: Shawn
