Just found this one 25 miles from me. Not a 67, but it is all there (have the bumpers too and they are nice!) and runs good! So, they are still out there to be found. Good luck with your 67. Mark
That blue one is sweet! I've always really wanted 68 or 69. I passed on a decent one for 1300$ with no motor or trans but a $200 '67 sounded better. No that green is perfect! that's exactly what I'm looking for. And even better than it's a factory buick color for 1967. I'd love to see more pics if you have them handy. Where does the vinyl stop around the back window? Did you sell your old 67?
Yeah, I sold it to a board member here about 4 years ago. At that time we had 5 Buicks and I wasn't accomplishing anything on any of them. We sold 3 of them (green 67, black 70GS, yellow 71GS) so I could concentrate my limited time and even more limited money to get at least one of the done. It worked! I was able to get my ragtop done. I've attached a few more pictures. One is the day I bought it (when it still had the skirts on it... yuk) and there is one pic of a 67 GS I found on the net. I don't know who's it is, but I always thought it was a GREAT example of how nice that color could look on a 67. The vinyl top goes all the way to the chrome trim that wraps around the "fins" in the back. Your car was a solid color from the factory so you don't have the chrome. It can be found on ebay, or someone here might have a spare set to sell. Heck, I might even have a batch of trim in my chrome stash.
My car is a '66 and is paint code H Seafoam Green. 1967 code H is called Green Mist. They may be the same colour, but different names. I know GM did this quite a bit, and different names for the same colour between divisions (ie Pontiac Carousel Red is the same as Chevy Hugger Orange) Mine looked pretty dull and shitty when I first got it. It shined up some after a good buff, and looks way better with the 15x7 Rallye wheels and new center caps. Not so Grandma'ish now. It is definitly not a colour you see at the show and shines, except on some 50's cars. Brian
I really want to build a gasser. I'm debating on whether or not to sell the '67. I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO!!!!
Here's a color that grows on you too. Aqua Marine I believe it is. Thinking of buying this one, might make a nice project. Hopefully I'll come to my senses before that happens. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=300260298444
I'm not 100% sold on the paint scheme, but I love the overall look and stance of that one with the slight drop in height and the oversize wheels. Sweet ride! :TU:
The only thing I don't really like is the interior. I don't like that street rod look. I like the old school look. The paint isnt old school but I think it's done well.
